Feedback:

Colin has helped my daughter recover all her documents last year, after the motherboard on her laptop was fired. So when my desktop (and laptop) started to run ridiculously slowly and then the printer stopped working, I reached out to him via email, late on a Sunday evening. He had replied to the email that night and called the next morning to see if Tuesday morning would work for me. Around 36 hours from initial contact, to a home visit. Amazing service! He was able to speed the whole network up very quickly and gave me very clear instructions on what I needed to do to clear my OneDrive (It had started to default saves there for a while without me realizing) and get things how I needed them.He could have done it himself, but didn’t want to charge me to do something I could easily manage - but asked that I let him know how I got on and said he would come back if I got stuckAfter he left, me and my daughter fought hard and managed to get One Drive completely emptied and disconnected. It took around 7 hours - so that would have been a very expensive call out had he not shown me how to do it myself. As soon as we got the last file off, cleared all the recycle bins and restarted the system, I can print from every program, as if the issue never started. The network is running faster than it has since we moved here last year.I honestly cannot express what a relief it is to actually be able to turn on the computer and start working, without a fight for connection and waiting forever for programs to load. It feels like a hundred years since that was possible. As a university student completing an online course and working as a freelance accountant, my computer is my life, so having things running properly for the first time since we arrived is amazing.Thank you so so much again Colin. I would highly recommend your services to anyone in need of help with their devices.

Feedback:

It is with pleasure that I applaud the great service and helpful advice that Colin provided in dealing with my computer problems. He is willing to go above and beyond the immediate problems at hand and provide great advice on the life expectancy of hardware, my computer being fairly old, so I will seek his input when and if I start looking for a new computer. I feel I could trust his advice without a problem. I feel much more confident now that I have my computer back and working faster than ever before, so thank you Colin. I agree with others that he is a five star performer.

Feedback:

Fatal Exceptions Inc is just plain AWESOME! I received a phone call from Colin within 2 minutes of me emailing the Fatal Exceptions website with my issue of our Office Server being unresponsive. He quickly tried to troubleshoot with me on the phone to see if it was just a minor issue, but we found that he needed to come to the office to diagnose a more serious issue. He worked swiftly, without wasting time and provided us with a full repair and recovery to our servers. Colin is extremely knowledgeable and ready to assist. Highly recommended!

Thank you Colin at Fatal Exceptions! Right from our first meeting it was pretty clear that you strive on providing great quality customer service. It has been terrific working with someone so reliable and creative making it fun with great ideas. Started out with a few questions to get some ideas from me, you ran with it and created exactly what i imagined. Something simple and not so busy. Today we launched the web page for Grosvenor Coin Laundry & Done For You Services. I can't tell you how excited I am for the business and staying in touch with you for future updates and additions. Cheers to Keeping It Clean!

Feedback:

What great service!! Colin was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and responsive. After a different computer repair company tried and failed to fix our computer issue (making things worse!), we called Colin and he was very quick to help. We left our computer with him for a free quote on a Friday afternoon and we had our computer back and totally fixed by Saturday morning...for a much lower price than other computer repair places were quoting too. We will trust Colin with any computer issues going forward and we will not hesitate to refer our friends and family to him as well.

Colin is currently building me a website. He was been so easy to get a hold of and quick to answer all my questions! I know nothing about webdesign, he has taken to time to explain very step of the way to me. I would highly recommend Fatal Exceptions to anyone!

Feedback:

Colin is an arrogant guy that obviously has self confidence issues; he talks like a person that was bullied in high school for being a dweeb; won't take any questions that he perceives as a threat to his self esteem, in my opinion. That being said, he was completely useless in fixing my laptop; he gave up just like the other reviewer. He completely misdiagnosed my computer and was more concerned about getting paid than fixing it. He refused to answer basic questions and couldn't explain why I knew more than him about the issues involved, and I'm a novice! Anyone would know what I told him. He couldn't even get as far as I got on the computer..!When I asked him where he learned his trade, he threatened to call the police for harassment and as far as I know, he's still snivelling. This guy should be avoided at all costs, in my opinion. The other reviewer probably threw out a perfectly good computer.Update: I see the sniveler responded to my review; what else is he going to say?"Yeah, I failed twice in BOTH REVIEWS to fix a computer" ...?? Lol?Of course he's concerned about poor reviews; not so concerned about fixing your computer aside from the bare minimum.Where there's smoke, there's fire, right? Why take a chance on some sniveler with two reviews (where he failed to fix the computer BOTH times) when you can choose someone with more, positive reviews?Nice try Colin, if you told the truth I'd have SOME respect, but all you did was run a diagnostic and GAVE UP...and you sure didn't win my confidence by not even getting to the desktop, like I did. YOU TOLD me yourself, you don't fix hardware issues; why would I have any expectation you'd even try? It's the fact you didn't do anything besides let software diagnose a problem FOR YOU. SURE IT'S FREE; it's useless! No mention of the fact you couldn't get as far as a NOVICE did, no mention of a simple google search revealing inherent fan/overheating problems. WHAT do you get PAID for, plugging a USB cable in? GOOD WORK COLIN! 17 WHOLE YEARS experience to run a computer program! "HEY, the computer says YOUR computer is bitched, but I DON'T FIX computers...talk to the manufacturer"...! WELL DONE!I 'd ask you again where you learned your trade, but you'd just snivel about calling the police again.MAXIMUM FAIL.Colin, you keep pointing out, over and over, that it was FREE advice. I would have PAID for SOME form of effort; the fact you couldn't even get to the desktop LIKE I COULD, makes me think you DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING, and gave up after doing THE BARE MINIMUM.Folks, don't believe this sniveler...you can see he cares more about the review than fixing anything...! "It's a shame google lets people post bad reviews as well as good...because obviously I want all good reviews...!"What a JOKE!Here's a question folks: 17 YEARS in business and he's STILL operating out of his house with TWO WHOLE REVIEWS...?Think about it.Go to Staples. They don't snivel.UPDATE:Well, well. Surprise Surprise!I took the initiative and decided to look at the computer myself.Took the back cover off and instantly the computer was running perfectly...I considered it strange that the screws were so tight (factory torqued) since Colin told me he took the pc apart to replace the hard drive to see if it made a difference...hmmmm.The computer needed Vaio updates, including a Vaio hardware management update.VERY STRANGE that Colin couldn't get that far.He told me that BOTH the HD AND the motherboard were probably toast...and here I sit with a perfectly functioning computer after a couple of updates.Gee...I wonder how many computers Colin is responsible for being THROWN OUT due to his shoddy performance and diagnosis...???HMMMMMMM.Well, enough said, Folks. Avoid this sniveler at all costs. I'd tell him about his maximum fail, but like ALL snivelers, any criticism would destroy him. It's enough I have a computer again and I can warn SOME people not to go to this fool. (In my opinion)

Feedback:

Colin is personable, professional and ethical - I would absolutely recommend him for computer repairs in St. Albert and surrounding areas. I was concerned about a virus on my Macbook Pro. When I called, he answered my call promptly, accommodated a same day drop off, and kept me apprised of the diagnostics throughout the day. Unfortunately, the results of the diagnostics were not promising. As such, he did not want me to spend money with him, unless he was 100% positive his approach could permanently repair the problem. Instead he referred me to Apple and did not charge me for his diagnostics. I am saddened that I couldn't give him my business with this problem, but absolutely appreciate his honesty and integrity. Thanks Colin!
