Overall Feedback:
On June 30th, my husband and I chose Garlics to celebrate our 1st year anniversary at 2 trusted couples' recommendations. After seeing reviews and photos, we went for it! My husband's steak was almost perfect (cooked medium well instead of medium rare) and tasted delicious. We ended up sharing his steak. My meal, a seafood pasta, tasted sour, bitter, and like vomit. The seafood pasta was absolutely terrible. I tried two bites, and that's all I could take. It was disgusting. The waiter then offered an alternative meal, so I picked the steak, cooked medium rare. It came out, burnt at the top. It brought tears to my eyes, because this was our 1st anniversary and it was awful that both meals were completely off. At the end, the waiter charged us for both steaks, cooked sub-par at this high-quality restaurant, and offered a cheesecake as an apology. We spent over $100 for one good steak. It was truly sad, especially after the amazing reviews we read of and heard from family members.I'd love to give it another shot...but I'm just nervous it's gonna be another $100 wasted.
