I showed up to pick up my 'confirmed reservation' and no one was present. I don't know who is at fault, Expedia or Hertz, but this is a pretty terrible situation to leave someone in a day before a major hurricane

Remember online prices are likely to be better, and if you have any problems, call customer service, don't think anyone onsite will try and help, everyone is nice, but just call corporate, Hertz has great customer service.

Picked up vehicle at Myrtle Beach Airport was wayyyyy out of aliment & other things..... they basically closed when we picked the car up. Called customer service the next day & that was a joke. Think twice before you rent from them

I was on a sailboat delivery to Norfolk Virginia and we got delayed to to weather and I had to find a way to get from Southport to Norfolk before work the next day. Enterprise made me a reservation but upon arriving I was told they had no cars. After calling every single enterprise location within 50 miles and getting no help or accommodation due to my messed up reservation, the boat captain contacted Hertz and they agreed to give us a car that was getting serviced. The woman at the front desk even promised to stay late (I think her name was Emily) as it was a Saturday and everything closed at noon. Just as promised the driver came and picked me up with the car when it was done and even though it was almost 12:30 by the time I left with the car she stayed and made sure I got the car I needed to get home. This really really helped me out and kept me from being in a real bind with my job and I’m incredibly appreciative. It would be awesome no matter what but just the fact that they were so helpful when enterprise couldn’t even be bothered to try to find me the car they promised me I have to say I was really pleased.

Gary Bascom is terrific to work with. This rental was for almost 3 weeks and the car be secured for us (Nissan Altima) was excellent...comfortable, great fuel economy, and drove well on freeways.
