Feedback:

Great Service And Cannot Wait To Start Riding In The Season Of 2019! 😀

Feedback:

Great group of knowledgeable, friendly bike enthusiasts. I've become friendly with a few of them through their weekly group rides.

Feedback:

Quite simply the best customer service from sales to repair to rider support at all the major biking events in Rhode Island. I bought my second bike in two years from NBX in May. I blame the bike shorts.I had recently participated in the NY Five-Boro. Having never ridden more than 35 miles, it was strongly suggested to me that I invest in bike shorts. What followed is my new favorite cocktail story. Short version: don't wear panties with bike shorts (who knew??). And yes g-strings count. Also ... super important. Bike shorts are a one ride, one wash garment.Me: Like ... underpants, right? Does this really need to be explained??Peter: You would be surprised. I didn't even know HOW to shop for bike shorts. It would have been so easy for Peter to ManSplain and/or just let me buy the cute grey bike shorts. But he didn't. He is gentle, kind and patient. But also supportive and encouraging. He is not dismissive of novices who want to try to progress as riders. He will also tell you when bike shorts don't fit you correctly. That's important. After the Five-Boro (bum intact) I decided that I really want to do more long rides and more charity/group rides. I also wanted a faster, lighter road bike. I googled furiously, found the bike I wanted and went to NBX. This is where Peter is sensational. He will show you alternatives. Sadly, he will not let you ride any of them if you are wearing four inch heels and a pencil skirt. (I could TOTALLY do it.) So we arranged for me to come back on Saturday. I came straight from a one year old's birthday party. In a skirt and four inch heels. And pronounced myself ready to try bikes. The look on his face was utterly priceless.Instead, I changed into shorts and Peter helped me to purchase my very first clip in shoes!!!! And clipless pedals. FINALLY, I was ready to try bikes. I bought the bike I originally came in to buy and announced I was going to ride it home. Peter made me promise not to use the clips until I had gotten used to the new gear shifters (rather different from my last one). As I rode away Kristan shouted out "turn your lights on, Lucy!!" One gets the general sense that everyone in the store is genuinely looking out for their customers. They really couldn't be nicer. Flash forward to June, July, August. IF you happen to be the kind of person who occasionally does a Shaun White on the bike path (but doesn't stick the landing), or occasionally engages in sumo wrestling with stockade fencing (bike path) or sometimes just ... falls (for no reason at all) while riding your beautiful new bike, you will soon come to depend upon and love Jason. Jason is the mechanical engineer extraordinaire at NBX in East Providence. He is patient and kind. He doesn't laugh when you bring in the bike slightly pretzeled. Again. Jason has sorted the bike twice this summer and I'm very grateful. Last but not least, I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Matt from NBX. He saved the day when I showed up panic stricken at the Four Bridges Ride sans helmet. (It was that kind of a morning.) He found a spare helmet in the NBX truck and loaned it to me for the ride. I would have been heartbroken to miss that ride and Matt saved the day. As I said in the beginning, NBX offers the most amazing customer service!!! From original purchase, to routine (and not so routine) repairs to rider support at all the major charity events during the year. You literally couldn’t ask for a better team. And if you go in and ask for a brain bucket that doesn’t make you look like a Martian, they will totally hook you up.

Staff is always nice and helpful.

Feedback:

Second time here as great as the first. Adam helped with preparing my sons bike for school travel as we came in for a new tire. Thrilled with the team here and customer service.

Feedback:

Happily shop here for my biking needs. Easy access from RIPTA routes 32 or 34. Have to say I don't see a bike rack for customers here, like I do at the Providence NBX shop. Not much parking. I wouldn't want to park the wheelchair lift van here. Lots of people park in the medical building lot next door. (Doubt the staff at that building are too keen on that.) There isn't much in the way of safe space to really test ride. But you can get a reasonable feel for a bike with the safe space that is available. I recommend coming for test rides on the weekend when the medical building is closed. The customer service cannot be surpassed, in my opinion.

The staff is very helpful no matter how much your spending.

Feedback:

You will not ever regret your experience at this bike shop! Professional, kind, experts in the field (and mountains...and roads!). They have plenty of employees to make you feel comfortable and address your needs right away and it is a super family-friendly atmosphere. They take their time with you and genuinely seem interested in educating and sustaining a positive experience for the biker. I tell everyone I know about this place and spending time there today just solidified my business for as long as they’ll have us! They made two little children very happy today with a bike refresh before a weekend camping trip! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place so you just have to check it out....

Feedback:

Great experience. I needed a cassette tool to switch out my old 9 speed with a new one. Guy working there (sorry, can't remember his name!) knew exactly what it was I needed and exactly where it was in the store. Friendly and knowledgable - how a bike shop should operate.

Feedback:

Very friendly staff. Knowledgeable on the different bikes. But be prepared for more expensive high end bikes. But they did say with good maintenance the bikes should last twenty years. So you get what you pay for.
