Feedback:

Oryx is more than a job, its a family. Since I started 9 months ago, I've grown so much as not only a young professional, but also an individual. Its an amazing enviornment with top leadership, and people who are highly motivated to be successful. The energy everyone brings to the office every day is unmached and I'm so glad to be a part of the team! And also, I wanted to give a big thank you to our CEOs, Vianca and Mike, for providing this opportunity and always encouraging me to be the best. Keep doing what youre doing!

Feedback:

I truly enjoy being at Oryx Nashville. The culture, the people, and reason behind the job all align into what I’ve been looking for as far as a career. A program that allows you to learn how to manage yourself, manage others, and manage your own office is quite a spectacle. Where else can you go where all of management knows your name and wants to help you grow alongside bright individuals, the answer is NOWHERE. Well except Oryx

Feedback:

I'm sorry. The interview process is flawed. I will not videotape myself and send it off to someone I barely know. This is the only company where I've heard of such thing. Don't risk your privacy!!!Edit: To add to my defense, here is how videotaping yourself and sending it off to a potential employer is flawed. Unlike a face-to-face, phone, or even Skype, there is no live personality/reactions that is seen in real life at your work. While using HireVue is convenient (mostly to the employer), it does not reflect how real-life situations and issues are brought up with an employer.I am not comfortable pointing a camera at myself because of the above statement, and with the reason of myself having experienced such one-way interview processes before, only for those "opportunities" to be fraudulent. I am not saying that Oryx is a scammer of any kind, but to re-think the hiring process, and utilize other "cutting-edge" technology such as Skype if convenience is such an issue. RockNRolla1791 is absolutely right about me not giving a flip about other big companies utilizing HireVue. He is 100% in sync with my defense. It is in my belief that a SUCCESSFUL workplace takes it like a two-way street between management and employers. For those leaders to consider the well-being of their employees by talking to them directly, rather than using "cutting-edge" technology that is actually evasive. Thus the owner's "apology" is unfortunately tarnished because bringing up such a defense, which turned out to be defensive, became a condescending response as to why a videotaping program is the "latest and greatest" thing in "communicating" with potential employees. No wonder there is a large chunk of 1-star reviews—while the 5-star reviews rave about a great work environment, and myself enjoying a friendly atmosphere (who doesn't to be honest), it just doesn't feel right if management cannot communicate properly with their employees. I refuse to work for and spend 30 or so years bearing such a thought—the workload is already stressful enough, why add inconsideration to the mix?

Feedback:

The past two years has been such a great learning experience! Everyone is very upbeat, and the culture is so positive. If you are looking for a company where you can grow professionally, and still have fun, this is the place!

Feedback:

obnoxiously keeps calling - never applied. This should be a red flag. #ThirstTrapEdit: Look at the god awful response below. This company takes no responsibility and blames the individual they randomly call out of the blue and harass. Really? A simple text, how about you don't call people who apply to your company. Especially reaching out multiple times via text, call & email. This company screams RED FLAGS!

Feedback:

Listen I haven't even been here for a month yet and I love this opportunity. The people are so nice and genuine they care about every single person that steps foot into that office thank you Orxy for this opportunity.

Feedback:

Ok so I don't work here...... But I had an interview yesterday unfortunately on my way to the interview I hit a pot hole on the James Roberson exit and my tire immediatly starting loosing tire pressure. My interview started in less then 20 minutes I had to stop by the gas station to air my tire but my tire wouldn't hold Air so I had to cancel my interview due to my unforeseen incident I figured I lots all chances because first impression for employers are lasting impressions. I emailed the person I was suppose to meet explaining my issue prior to my interview time. I was so thrilled to receive an email back from her and she was so kind saying she understands things happen and how she would be happy to reschedule! So today I have my rescheduled interview I just want to say how much I appreciate her kindness and truly understanding my situation because I was in tears considering the fact I need a job and now I need a new tire when money is tight it made me feel so upset at myself because I thought I missed an opportunity but I didn't.Things happen for a reason and I appreciate her caring. As I don't know what the future will hold because my interview is in 3 hrs, but just the feeling knowing that ORYX actually cares about me is a WINNER for me. So whether I get the job or not I know that ORYX is a great company thus far because they cared about me and didn't judge me or the situation I was in. Also when reading the reviews prior to me writing one I saw that every review left by a person good or bad a person from ORYX responded back with such class and professionalism! So far my first impression is definitely a positive lasting one! Thanks ORYX for being great no matter what the situation is!!!!!!

Feedback:

I received a call to interview with this company and when I tried asking questions about pay, hours, PTO and other standard employment questions, the HR contact was extremely evasive about answering. It was a struggle just to get basic information and I never did get responses to all of my questions. It felt very shady and I decided to decline the interview. I'd recommend other potential hires be cautious and do their research.

Feedback:

I don't know what the previous reviewer was looking at but I was just in this building a few days ago and it was top notch and professional. I'm not too familiar with that area but as far as the building is concerned it was clean, well kept, and the marketing office is everything I would have expected. Rather emaculate actually.
