Charged me 1k for a sign that cannot be read during the daytime. Lights up very nice at night but this does me little good. I owe $500 on my balance. When I complained the sign is unreadable they told me I need to give them $500 more then pay for a new sign to be made. The sign is a joke in town. Every single person I have asked said - well you can’t see it. They claim I approved the design but I think it was fair for me to assume you’d be able to read my “sign”. As a business owner myself I’m appalled at the response I received to my complain. I suggest using somewhere that has a little integrity and pride. I’d never let my work be the laughing stock of an entire town. Shame on them. I posted a picture of their “sign” on google... it’s the photo where you won’t see any signs on the round building!!

They've done a few jobs for me and my spouse. We've dealt with Carrie Vaughn mostly and she's super nice and professional. All their work has been top notch and we wouldn't use any other sign company.

Horrible customer service overall. On 8/2/17, I inquired about a boat lettering design on with specs (design, colors, dimensions). I provided this to several competing companies. Other companies quoted the job, and I went with the lowest bidder, Portsmouth Sign Co. I then learned over the next 2 weeks that the level of attention was virtually non-existent. The designer seemed incompetent with what is basic cursive lettering. Days went by with no email responses, not even a quick "I'm swamped, I'll get to it," and I never received phone calls back that I requested. Beware of low verbal bids (it was not even that much lower) because the quote ended up being significantly more and the service was horrible. I addressed my displeasure with the representative and to date have still not received a response, an apology, and/or an attempt to make this right.

In the short time we've been apart of the Portsmouth community, we've had two projects done by Portsmouth Sign Co. Both projects were done at a fair price, in a timely manner and look great! The team at Portsmouth Sign Co. made the process easy from start to finish. The vinyl on the windows look awesome, is easy to care for and should last. I would not recommend them for a vehicle wrap. My experience has been that they do not understand how to take the templates provided and scale them to fit the vehicle. They did not get back to me in a timely manner, and they consistently did not get back to me when they said they would. In the end, I pulled my job from them, because I had my doubts that they knew how to do it.

I recently had my work van wrapped by Portsmouth sign company and was so impressed by the work they did that I asked them if they had someone they could recommend for buying apparel for my employees. Luckily they have a sister company in the same building that we hired and had the same great experience. I would highly recommend Portsmouth Sign Company and Fox Point Screenprinting and Embroidery. Great team, great value and excellent work!!
