Very poor customer service. On my last visit the person working the counter would not even turn to look in my direction when she answered my question. I guess she had something better to do than wait on customers. The freezer section was almost empty and she told me they would be that way until fair season. There are too many other meat markets to be treated like I was treated. They lost a customer that day.

POOR customer Service! Ordered 1/4 cow 5 weeks ago, told it would take 2 weeks. Have called to check 2x and told they would call me back with an update. Never got a call back. Finally after 5 weeks found out today they still didn't even have the cow (once they get it it takes 2 more weeks). Canceled the order and told them to refund the deposit. I will just go to Brown's meat processing to get it instead.

Took up my deer this year after a month it was ready. Got it home and it smelled like it was going bad tasted it it was. Took it up to be replaced and had to argue that fact. Great customer service(sarcasm). They finally replace half my order and after some hear say on the cleanliness practices or lack of I'll never eat anything the touched. Worst experience at a butcher shop ever and pretty much wasted my deer.

I’ve been going to butcher shops all over the country. This place was by far the worst. I should have known better, but was with a friend and didn’t want to appear rude. We purchased a few vac pack porterhouses. The place had that “almost rotten” smell. We got back to where we were staying and after opening the meat it was still smelling “off”. The clerk claimed they “wet age” their meat. Grilled the meat like normal and I could not finish my steak. First time I can remember that I threw an unfinished steak away. Their version of wet aging is not the accepted method. Something is wrong with the place and how it is operated.

(Edit 2/23/2019 - I finally drove there just to see they were closed but as I was leaving the butcher pulled in and talked to me. He explained the new owner was at fault, which I assumed, and he did everything he could to complete my order. I left satisfied, but concerned about the future of my favorite butcher and crew... please reopen with a new owner so I can re edit this and give you back the 5 stars you all deserve - end edit) After going here for 8 years I hate to say I will never do business here again... almost 3 months of waiting for meat to be processed, December 6th it was dropped off and paid in full , and all I get is the run around... when and if they actually answer the phone. I fear I have lost the meat I gave them but I will fight to have the charges reversed on my credit card. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
