Pros: Great location; light rail stop right outside the door, halfway between both downtowns. Great amenities for artists; free rehearsal space, wet and dry studio, roof top deck with grills, work out room, community room with fireplace. The lofts have heated floors, high ceilings and a washer and dryer in each unit. The staff is also wonderful. Cons: More consideration is given to the dogs than the children. (If you don't have children and have a dog this could be a pro). For "affordable housing" the rent is pretty high. The paper recycling plant across the street is running a trash incinerator and lowering the air quality.

I love all the friendly dogs here — so much so that I don’t feel the need to have one of my own. What else could the heart desire in a home; clean, friendly neighbors, well maintained and always good vibes from the office staff.

Really nice place to the residents who love arts. Inspiring paintings and pictures are installed at the hallway. Community room and patio are very nice place to have a party with neighbors. CAL staff is kind warm. Their response is also quick and effective all the time.

Hands down the best place I’ve ever lived!!! Apartments are absolutely gorgeous and full of character and warmth. The art amenities are great for aspiring and established artists alike. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!!

I've lived here over 5 years and I'm really enjoying my home. I have great neighbors. I love that it's very pet-friendly. Great location on the light rail line right between downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
