We were a customer for 20 years, Phone, internet and for a bit DirecTV. the DirectTV was a 2 year contract, with one year reasonable price plus a second year of incredibly expensive service. in the end NOT WORTH IT. We also had DSL service from BTC, all speed tests showed 10 mb, even when we upgraded to 100 mb. I, of course assumed that the problem was on my end. we had them out at one time to replace the line to our house so it couldn't be that right? heh, never any faster than 10 mb even with new Modem/wifi router. after a couple months we decided that we were paying too much for 10 mb and called to cancel our service. they tried to keep us, even offering the same service for $50 less... so we had used them for over 20 years, and they had overcharged us by a possible $50 a month? really? jackass! you think that is Okay? Long story long, we switched to COX 30 mb. I changed nothing on my network but the modem and we get OVER 30 mb on every device in the house. never a slow-down that we were warned by BTC would happen during business hours. more lies? perhaps, but whatever, we are happy now, paying less and getting more. we'll never go back.

Wow, first time I’ve ever been so annoyed I had to write a review over it and warn others in the area to never consider this an option. Go with cox, direct tv, big name corporate dudes. They suck too but these guys top the charts in regards of unreliability. We’ve been customers for about 1-2 years now, don’t quote me I’m not 100% sure but it’s been awhile. It was sub-par internet at first but then it just went downhill a few months in. Every 2-4 weeks we would experience problems connecting any device. So I called, and in a nice manner questioned what was wrong and every single time I would get the same “well I’m not sure what to tell you, I have to pass this on to an upper level of maintenance/my manager and you’ll get a call in a few days”. Well would it surprise you to know they never called? Crazy right? Not really, but the problem would get fixed for a few more days or weeks then it would reoccur. Again and again, over and over again. Really it’s just getting old. I’m sure I’ll get some sappy response regarding something about being sorry and offering help but will it really work? Probably, but then the problem will just occur a few weeks later. Endless loop, remember when I said they were unreliable? Well there you go folks. Don’t buy anything they offer because I’m sure it’s all the same as this

It's been a little over a year with service cutting out. They keep trying another modem, another modem, and it doesn't work. For the last month, I can get a stable internet connection for maybe a half an hour every two hours. They keep saying they will send someone, and someone eventually might come, and when they do the problem will remain. Stay tuned for an aplogetic canned "response" from BTC along the lines of "We're sorry your experience was bad, etc etc flowery words but still no solution."

We have been a proud business customer with BTC for years. Their service is excellent and they are extremely helpful any time we have an issue. I especially appreciate everything they do for the community!

Speed is great when it works. Service has been horrible when things do go wrong. The fiber cable to my house laid on the ground for weeks without being buried before sod came in. Was told that if something happened to the line being that shallow that they would just fix it. The line was later cut at the depth of a 4” edger. They now want to charge me approximately $100 to run a whole new line. There have been times that i have gone two weeks ithout service because their crew was too busy to come out. They just don’t have the manpower to provide decent service when things go wrong.***UPDATE***I am still experiencing issues. The crew did come out and bury the line but my internet is still not working properly. I have called over and over and it’s now been two days without a call back. The amount of time that it takes for this company to get someone out is extremely frustrating.

We started with BTC when we built our home in Whitehawk. When the internet works it works well. After several days of zero internet I wrote the CEO a letter. His letter back was one of the rudest and most non customer focused responses I may have ever read. Switched to Cox about 4 months ago and have had zero troubles with the same Smart TV the BTC CEO claimed was the issue. No sir, it was your service.
