Terrible customer service. I went in expecting this shop to become my new favorite store. I was looking for something very simple, a pair of 18” wheels for a non-bike project of mine. When I asked the guys at the desk about it, they proceeded to question my judgement, ask a bunch of unrelated questions, then tell me to bring pictures of my project in so they could “help” me. They would not sell me the wheels. I left angry, drove to Crazy Ray’s junkyard, and picked up exactly what I wanted in under five minutes. The wheels from the junkyard work great; go there instead unless you’re a snobby bike connoisseur who likes being talked down to.

The staff was very nice and informative. Larry spent a lot of time with me being a neophyte in the recumbent trike world. I purchased a used Trident trike and very happy with it knowing that a shop like Mt Airy will provide superior service and maintenance.

Larry and Paul were great. My wife and I drove to this store from Delaware. She had been looking for the right trike for a very long time. With her handicap she’s not a one size fits all customer. We had already tried Lancaster Recumbents and she traveled to Bicycle Man in upstate New York. Neither were able to accommodate her. If not for the lack of trying. My Airy had just the right trike. They patiently took the time fit the trike and answer all sort of novice nuisance questions. We are confident that this trike when completely outfitted will last her a very long time. Thank You Larry and Paul, (and Beth), for your personalized and professional service. Oh and for your restaurant suggestion. 😉
