The Lens Depot team were very helpful in answering all of my questions and helped me pick out the correct equipment for my project. The equipment was in great shape and worked flawlessly. I will continue to use them and would recommend them to anyone needing their services.

Absolute terrible customer service, especially from the owner. Condescending and disrespectful when clients don't understand their entire book of policies and get rude when you have questions. Told them I wouldn't be a customer anymore so they targeted a colleague of mine, saying he had to pay a $5300 deposit for a $250 rental after I bruised the owner's ego. Owner's name is Oscar. Rent from borrowlenses or many of the others that hire great customer service representatives. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.My colleague wanted to pay for the order with his card on my account. He even spoke with them, saying HE wanted to use HIS card and they refused because the customer account name was different (understable). I simply asked to have my credit transferred to the rental on his account and Oscar found that offensive and responded disrespectfully.What he doesnt seem to understand is that it is not the policy that people have problems with, it is his poor customer service and attitude.

Our company has rented from them for years. Last rental was extended twice by us using the same credit card. The third extension for some reason the card bounced. Instead of contacting us asking for a solution, they threatened me that they were going to report me to the police in two hours if I didn't respond.. The police.. haha. Nothing makes long time customers happier than being accused of stealing. That said, we spent 4K with lensrentals dot com a week later and will never use these crazy people again.

Love renting from The Lens Depot. This is my first time where I needed to provide a certificate of insurance for the equipment. Really appreciate the staff’s willingness to work with me & my insurance company to ensure I had the right type of coverage (use the equipment for personal purposes, rather than for business purposes). It really meant a lot they were willing to do this rather than write me off as a customer. Also, this was the first I needed the equipment shipped to me. The instructions were very helpful & I must say I’m very impressed with how well the items were packed. Highly recommend using this company for photography equipment rental.

Honestly so annoyed. I wanted to rent a lens from them but that went south really quick. I got online to reserve my lens for 14 days, put in the card information just to figure out once I called there was really no way to rent it. A few days ago my personal credit card got fraud on it so I had to cancel that card and am waiting on a new one. Because of that reason my boyfriend was letting me use his to rent the lens with. FULL CONSIST he was happy to call and confirm the card, send them his drivers license, write a note whatever needed. Well even with that they will not allow me to pick up the lens because my name is not on the card unless he puts down a deposit for the full amount of the lens. If we had the money for the full amount of the lens we would just buy it how stupid!!! Also, there is no way my boyfriend could pick it up on that date needed as he has to work Monday-friday 7am-6pm. And I would need it from a monday-monday. The lady on the phone was so rude even trying to tell me I was trying to commit fraud. I also offered to pay cash for the lens rental but that was a no too. I will NEVER use them or recommend them to anyone after this experience!

Absolutely worst service in the area. Came to pick up a rental on someone’s behalf and the person was absolutely rude and not willing to figure out our order. And then continued to make snide remarks accusing us of fraud because they want to use a dated means of communication through email. This experience was belittling, I was just a middle man and was embarrassed to even talk to them. I am a very patient person and accommodated their miles of paperwork and humiliation, with their degrading language.

I've used them many times in the past, for me their service was great, the gear was always in good condition, and local pickup was always a plus. However, if you're a Fuji shooter, their selection for Fuji gear is very lacking compared to the other manufactures. There are a number of Fuji lenses that I would rent, but they've had the same selection for some time now.
