YEXT bologna!See their response to LM Smoak’s 5 star review and you’ll know the company doesn’t actually have any human employees, it’s fully and autonomously operated by poorly programmed AI mannequins. They might work for national brands but are simply a big internet bully who holds small business's info hostage for ransom!

Yext gets 1 STARS from me as they had more than ample time to fix and update my listings and they wanted me to do all the grunt for them. Which the 1star had to be applied or Google wouldn't post this review. Not only did they NOT update all the listings they promised but the erased all my prior data that I had cleaned up with my prior SEO company, the software service is a crock. They want all the monies upfront so they don't have to work for it afterwards. The whole transition was a FRUAD. They couldn't even fix the duplicate listings, 1 operator got on the phone and couldn't even give a decent explanation of simple questions asked. They stated they have over 70 listings when its only 50 and no different then most of the SEO companies and by the way of the 50 listings some don't even fit the criteria, Like TripAdvisor, Banks.ZERO ACCOUNTABILY !!!!I had 10 clean listings that took 3 weeks to process and were NOT live until I called them out and still took some time to handle that task when its should have been done in 7 business days.I will pass on this horrible experience to as many people as I can to stay away from YEXT, you give the industry a horrible name for those who work hard to earn a living.

Feedback:

YEXT continues to disappoint. YEXT has somehow published the wrong info on 3 of my clients that their software grabbed, so for a yacht broker, they publish the info about a garage door repair company. Last week it was a criminal defense attorney publishing info about a Special Event business. After auditing all of the online directories my yacht broker was signed up by YEXT and to make sure the info was all correct, I found 4 listings still publishing the wrong address and phone numbers. The Law firm saw the mis information and immediately fired me. YEXT wants me to reactivate the Law firm, (pay them again) in order to correct their mistake. YOU MUST go through every listing they Publish and verify they are sending out the correct info. Every time you make a change to your clients info, you will manually have to check each and every listing to insure it is correct. When you discover mistakes, you email their support team because they never answer their phones. they are in a lot of meetings. Call your account rep and their voice mail box is always full. So you email YEXT partner support and you receive canned email responses that don't help. When you do get an email to acknowledge the problem, it gets escalated to another team that never follows up, or fixes it. From my personal experience with YEXT, they are not a good business for SEO people and when they make mistakes, it actually hurts your clients SEO ranking.

Feedback:

What a scam of a business! Puts out false information like wrong addresses and phone numbers. You try to change them yourself only to find out Yext owns these websites and you have to pay them big bucks yearly to have the info corrected. Not buying into their BS. You can keep your bad info out there.

Feedback:

Thank you for making working with you easy. I am grateful.

So, here's what you'll be buying: An annual contract from Yext, which they'll fix your business listings on 50ish websites for a shipload of money. Which websites? Aside from a few useful ones, probably 20% of those pages, owned by YEXT themselves! So, in simplest terms: 1) Yext warns you that your business info is missing/wrong on websites X, Y, Z.. 2) You try to fix those listing yourselves, but no way Jose.. Those websites will direct you to Yext's checkout page and even if you email their support team, they will tell you to visit yext.com & preach about how great Yext could have fixed those listing for you (AGAIN - ON THE WEBSITES/DIRECTORIES, WHICH THEY ALREADY OWN)In order to avoid their services, google "Top Online Local Business Directories & Listings for Local Marketing" & fix your business listings on your own. You will be happy that you didn't waste your money on Yext

What a waste of a company!

Feedback:

Terrible Business. Full of lies. Never helped. When reviews show full 5 star reviews mixed with 1 star reviews you know it's fake. I am a professional web developer and I must say this service is a complete waste of time and money and will not help your ranking. STAY AWAY.
